What is this test software called?

I am trying to find a specific test automation software I saw a year ago, it is focused on web app testing and from what I remember it opened a sort of vm or miniature browser inside your current browser, after this it recorded your interactions (clicks, typing, etc.) with the website and exported it as a javascript file which can then be edited further, after this you can run said file inside this tools which executes all the recorded steps.

Just to be clear this tool ran entirely in your browser, it was all in a webpage.

I wish I could give more info but this is all I can remember, does this ring any bells for anyone? If not, know any tools that have a functionality similar to this? I need to run a set of test automatically but many of them consist of writing something in a text box and waiting for a page change, I considered selenium but found it way to robust and time consuming to set up to be a viable solution, thanks in advance.
