Testing ping functionality with interesting hosts

My application coordinates a network of local devices. For diagnostics purposes, I'm adding monitoring so that the user can request a ping of these devices. In order to test this function in isolation, I want to populate my database with "interesting" dummy device IPs.

So far I'm using my own IP, the loopback address, the address of my router, and (of course) stackoverflow.com.

But can anyone suggest other more exotic examples? For example, it would be great if there was a lazy host out there that took a looong time to respond to a ping.
